52 Dental Business Blogs in 52 Weeks

I’ve missed you guys.  My apologies for not writing frequently in 2015.  As most of you know, I became the Chief Editor of Dental Economics, a printed magazine, which also includes responsibilites overseeing several digital dental publications.  I spent much of this past year updating those media properties and getting used to the work flow of an editor.  My private practice was also going through a lot of changes: hiring and training new staff, adding another treatment room, and so on.  All good stuff.

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to get back to regular writing here.  So my idea is to write a blog post every single week in 2016, all focused on practice management.  I’m calling it “52 Dental Business Blogs in 52 Weeks.”

I will still post about other subjects, such as clinical dentistry, current dental events, and other musings.  But my new responsibilities with DE have made me get serious about my studies in business and I want to share that with you.

The lessons will cover a miultitude of topics, including accounting, entrepreneurship, management, and economics.  I’ll cite the resources that are informing me and summarize what I’ve learned.  It’ll be like looking at my research notes.  I encourage you to follow me on my Facebook Page or Twitter to keep up to date with this series and my other adventures in dentistry.

So here’s to a happy and prosperous 2016.  We all need to get more serious about the business of dentistry.  Let’s do it together!
